Rain central and northern Europe, drier to the south
A bright and mostly dry day for Portugal and Spain on Tuesday as rain moves away to the east. A few showers to the far northwest. Heavy, thundery outbreaks of rain for northern Italy, dry and bright to the south. Dry and bright too for Greece though southern parts of Turkey may see the odd shower.
Heavy outbreaks of, sometimes thundery, rain spread east across France and into the Low Countries, Switzerland and western Germany later. Dry with sunny spells for eastern Germany. A dry day for much of Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland with plenty of sunshine. Cloud increasing to the west later.
A band of heavy rain skirts northern Denmark and moves northward across southern Norway and central Sweden on Tuesday. A cloudy day behind this for southern Sweden and Denmark. A dry day for the Baltic States with sunny spells. Sunny spells for Finland too with isolated showers.
Heavy rain in northwest Spain and Portugal on Wednesday. Fair for most of the rest of POrtugal and Spain with plenty of sunshine. It should stay fair in the Balearics too as well as Corsica and Sardinia. Italy should be mostly fair although there is a risk of some showers in the south. Greece will be dry and sunny whilst heavy showers and thunderstorms affect Turkey.
A band of rain in northern and western France, dry and sunny in the east and south. More rain to come through the Low Countries with some showers in northern Germany. Poland should be fine with good spells of sunshine. Scattered showers in western Hungary with dry and sunny conditions in Austria and Switzerland.
Wet in Denmark and southern Norway with heavy periods of rain. Fine for most of Sweden although high cloud makes the sunshine hazy. Fairin the Baltic States although showers affect Finland. Northern Norway should be fair with more sunshine to come here.
