Dry for much of Spain, France and Germany

Friday
High pressure extends across north-western Europe. A few showers locally for Spain, but most places will be dry. Temperatures 20 to 23C in southern Spain and Portugal. Clusters of thundery showers affect the west and central Mediterranean, including the Balearics, and much of central Italy. Downpours may result in flooding. Rain also extends into Croatia, with some snow for the southern Alps. Dry for the eastern Med, with temperatures topping 25C in Greece .
Staying warm across eastern Europe, 23C in Hungary and 20C in south-east Poland. A few showers for the Low Countries, but most of France and Germany will be dry, 12 to 15C. Breezy around North Sea coasts. Low pressure over Scandinavia produces areas of rain, with snow over the mountains. 10C in southern Sweden. Some rain spreads across the Baltic states and southern Finland.

Saturday
Areas of thundery rain continue to affect the western Mediterranean, focused around the Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia. A few showers for Italy, but less widespread than previous days. Dry across Spain and Portugal, 23C in southwestern Iberia. Plenty of dry weather for France, the Low Countries and Germany, some early fog. Daytime temperatures 11 to 14C.
Some rain spreads across the Czech Republic and Poland, then into Belarus. Staying very warm in south-east Europe, 22 to 25C for Hungary, Romania and the Balkans. Also staying warm for Greece. Dry for much of Scandinavia as pressure builds. Cool with scattered showers for Finland. Milder with brisk southerly winds for Norway, some rain in the far west.
