Rain with thundery downpours across central Europe both days once again although largely concentrated over eastern countries on Saturday. Largely dry with sunshine across Scandinavia and over southern Europe.


Friday
A largely dry and fine day across Portugal and much of Spain, however showery outbreaks are expected to develop across northeastern and eastern parts of Spain throughout the day. The Balearics are also forecast to see scattered showers developing between the sunny spells, the showers more so late morning and early afternoon before turning largely dry thereafter. Greece looks to be largely dry and fine although Turkey will see thundery showers develop, these mainly in the morning.
Across central parts of Europe heavy and thundery showers are forecast again for today. Austria and Switzerland as well as eastern Europe and Denmark will see heavy and thundery downpours in particular. Northern and eastern parts of Poland too will be affected by thundery downpours. Northern and central France, Germany and the Low Countries will see showery outbreaks, some heavy. South of France looks to be largely dry with sunshine.
Largely dry and fine with sunshine across much of Scandinavia thanks to building high pressure to the north of Sweden, however, with low pressure to the south some far southern regions of Norway and Sweden could see some rain and will see cloudier skies. A largely fine day expected across Finland.

Saturday
Dry and fine again for Portugal and most of Spain on Saturday thanks to high pressure out over the Azores. Although, once again northeastern parts of Spain are likely to see some showery outbreaks of rain, some heavy and thundery. The Balearics as well as Sardinia and Sicily are forecast to be largely dry and sunny too.
A dry start for much of central Europe on Saturday, however, showers are forecast to develop quickly though the morning. The heavier and more thundery showers are forecast further east and across Poland, Romania as well as Hungary. Croatia, Slovenia and Austria will also be affected by these stormy downpours. Denmark will see heavy, thundery showers through the morning but these look to push away as the day progresses. Further west and across France, Italy and Germany there will be showers, some heavy but there will be lots of sunny spells too. Central and western France, northern Germany and southern Italy will see the best of any prolonged sunshine.
Largely dry and fine with sunshine across Sweden, Norway and Finland as high pressure remains over northern Scandinavia, although with low pressure being close to the south, southern most parts of particularly Norway and Sweden, will see showers, some heavy and thundery.
