Heavy rain moves in from Biscay to western France plus northwest Spain and Portugal. Gales near the coasts. Dry and fairly warm for southern Spain and the western Mediterranean. Also dry for much of Italy, the Alps, the south and east of France.
Low pressure over southeastern Europe brings heavy rain and snow to Greece, Turkey, Romania and Bulgaria. Drier toward Croatia and Hungary. Some snow flurries for Germany, the Czech Republic and northern Austria. Mainly dry across Poland. Snow extends into Ukraine and western Russia.
Some rain and snow for southern Norway and across Denmark, whilst dry but bitterly cold conditions continue over much of Scandinavia.
