Rain north and east, improving Spain and Portugal
A few scattered showers for northern Portugal and northwest Spain on Monday but it's a mostly dry and fair day for Iberia with the best of the sun to the east and southeast. Sunny and dry for the Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia and for Italy too after rain clears away from the south. Outbreaks of rain continue for Greece while heay rain and strong winds spread across Turkey.
A dry start for western France while scattered showers affect eastern areas. Rain arrives for northwestern France later. Scattered showers ease for the Low Countries but affect parts of Germany through the day. Snow for parts of Switzerland, Austria and Slovakia while the Czech Republic sees some outbreaks of rain. Isolated showers affect Poland through the day before heavier rain arrives to the east later.
Rain clears to the north from the Baltic States to leave a dry but dull day here. Dull with outbreaks of rain for Denmark. Some rain and sleet showers affect southern parts of Sweden and Norway but dry with a few brighter spells to the north. Sleet and snow for northern Finland but drier and brighter to the south.
A fair Christmas Eve over most of Spain and POrtugal, although some rain affects northwest Spain. The Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia will all be fine too. A fair day in Italy although some morning fog patches. Greece will be breezy but fair, although heavy rain,s sleet and snow affect Turkey.
Windy again in France with some rain in the east, better in the west. Further rain through the Low Countries and Germany. Poland may be fair for a time, but then showers here later. Hungary will have some rain and sleet in the east, otherwise dry. Austria and Switzerland will have patchy rai and showers.
Rain for Denmark and rather cloudy here. Murky in the Baltic States with some drizzle. Foggy at times in Finland and much of Sweden. Showers in southwest Norway but mostly dry to the north.
