Cold and wintry in eastern Europe with wind, sleet and snow, better in the west but still chilly
Tuesday continues dry, bright and cool for much of Portugal, Spain and the Balearics. The day starts bright too for Corsica and Sardinia but cloud will build and there is a chance of showers developing later in the afternoon. A dry and bright start to the day for Italy though cloud will build from the north and rain will affect central and southern areas through the afternoon and evening. Wintry showers ease for Greece and western Turkey leaving a dry, cool, bright afternoon.
A band of patchy rain and wintry showers will move southward across France throughout the day with the heaviest bursts in the east and southeast. Windy for the Low Countries with a continued chance of wintry showers throughout the day. It will be rather stormy for Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria and Hungary as a low pressure system brings powerful winds and a mixture of rain and snow.
Windy and wet for Denmark on Tuesday morning though it should turn drier in the afternoon. The Baltics will see a rather snowy day and strengthening northerly winds. Snowy too for southern Finland, Sweden and Norway with strong winds. Brightening for a spell in the afternoon in southeastern Norway.

The Balearics will have sunny spells and scattered showers. Heavier showers in Corsica and Sardinia with the risk of rain and showers for Italy. Rain and wind in Greece as well as western Turkey, although drier in central and eastern Turkey.

Cold in Denmark with scattered snow showers. Further showers in southern Sweden. The Baltic States will be cold with snow flurries. Finland will be cold too but should be dry. Norther Sweden is cold and bright. Mostly dry with sunny spells in Norway but some rain and sleet in the west.
