Unsettled conditions spread east across Europe


Friday
An unsettled day through Portugal and Spain with heavy showers and some bands of rain passing through Iberia. More rain in the Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia. Drier in Italy with sunny spells, some rain in the north. Greece will have heavy showers in the west, drier in the east. Turkey should be dry with good spells of sunshine.
Heavy periods of rain through France with breezy conditions. Some brighter spells follow to the west. The Low Countries will have heavy showers, these affecting western parts of Germany too. In the eastern half of German and Poland the day is dry and brighter. Hungary should be dry and bright. Austria and Switzerland will have rain, some of it heavy in the south.
Fair for Denmark and breezy here. Fair too through Sweden and much of the Baltic States. Sleet in Finland and cloudy too. Breezy in Norway with some showers in the west. Temperatures generally close to normal here.

Saturday
Further heavy showers affect Iberia on Saturday. These heaviest to the north and west. Some good bright spells of sunshine developing in between showers. Heavy outbreaks of rain and strong winds for Italy through the morning but this clears to the south and east to leave a dry and sunny afternoon. Heavy showers reaching western Greece later after a dry and fair day. A fair and dry day for Turkey.
A dry and bright start for France but heavy rain arrives to the west and spreads across the country later. A mostly dry and fair day for the Low Countries and Germany but rain arrives to the west here through the early evening. Heavy rain and snow clears east from Switzerland but affects Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia. Showery outbreaks of rain affect Poland.
A mostly fair and breezy day for Denmark, the Baltic States and southern Finland. Snow and sleet showers affect northern Finland and northern Sweden. A band of heavy rain and snow affects southern Norway and southwest Sweden.
