Heavy rain affects Portugal on Sunday and spreads across Spain on Monday


Sunday
A band of very heavy rain moves into northwest Spain and across Portugal on Sunday. A few showers ahead of this but mostly dry and bright for the southeastern half of Spain. Dry and fine across the Balearic Islands, Corsica, Sardinia and Italy with just isolated showers affecting western parts of Italy. Dry and sunny for much of Greece and Turkey too after early showers clear away from the south.
Heavy outbreaks of rain affect northern France and much of Germany though this eases as the day develops. Cloudy with early showers for the Low Countries. Dry and fine for Switzerland, Austria, Slovakia and Hungary. A band of rain and sleet spreads across the Czech Republic and Poland but a drier spell follows this.
Another breezy and wet day for Denmark with outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow. Mostly cloudy with wintry showers for the Baltic States and Finland. Brighter for Sweden and Norway but with frequent wintry showers here too. Breezy for southern Sweden too.

Monday
Heavy rain continues for Portugal and spreads across western and central Spain. Staying dry but cloudy to the east of Spain. A dry and fair day for the Balearic Islands, Corsica, Sardinia and Italy. A few showers developing for northwestern parts of Italy. A dry day with lots of sunshine for Greece and Turkey.
Outbreaks of rain for the north of France, the Low Countries and coastal regions of northern Germany. A few showers for south-central parts of France but otherwise dry and cloudy. Dry and cloudy for much of Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. A few snow showers for Switzerland and Austria.
Further showery outbreaks of rain for Denmark though winds ease on Monday. Showers clear to the northeast from the Baltic States leaving a dry but overcast day here. Snow showers affect much of Finland while showers of rain, sleet and snow affect southern parts of Sweden and Norway.
