Thunderstorms spread east & north
Hot and sunny across Spain & Portugal, temperatures into the mid to high 30s Celsius in the south. Blustery winds around the north & west of Iberia. Scattered thunderstorms for southern Italy and the far south of Greece.
A cold front moving south-east across France brings less humid conditions to much of the country, temperatures 20 to 23C. Meanwhile, thundery conditions will be widespread across Germany and the Alps, including eastern France, and extending to the Czech Republic. High pressure across eastern Europe maintains hot weather for much of Poland, Hungary & Romania, although some thunderstorms possible, temperatures 33 to 35C. Dry around the Black Sea and also the Baltic states. Southern Sweden also stays hot at 28C, but with scattered thunderstorms. Fresher and largely dry across Norway and northern Sweden. Some rain affects Finland.
Staying windy around north-western Iberia, whilst much of Spain and Portugal will see another hot day. Isolated thunderstorms in south-eastern Spain. Dry for the western Mediterranean islands. Scattered thunderstorms for Italy, the Balkan states and Greece.
High pressure extends across France, bringing a dry and pleasant day, temperatures into the low 20s Celsius. Showers for Belgium and the Netherlands, spreading into north-west Germany. Some thunder for the Alps. An area of low pressure drifts east across Poland and north into Scandinavia. Heat and humidity will trigger some intense thunderstorms. Ukraine and areas around the Black Sea stay hot and dry. Northern Scandinavia will be dry, but increasingly very warm in northern Norway & Sweden.
